Visit the dentist before school starts!
With thoughts of a new school year absolutely ruining the tail end of a perfectly fine summer vacation, families are girding for nine more months of learning all of which requires shopping for new clothes, books and binders.
But what's often left out of the equation is a semi-annual dental checkup, Dr. Bui, DDS says taking care of this necessary business can best be performed before school gets underway, when there's more time to schedule an appointment.
Here is Dr. Bui's back-to-school dental health checklist:
- Dental Records: If it's time for radiographs, get them done. These allow Dr. Bui to look for cavities and other problems, as well as check the status of young wisdom teeth.
- Sealants: Dr. Bui can seal and protect a student's new back molars. Ask Dr. Bui about them!
- Smile Brightening: You can get brighter teeth in one visit, or pursue more lasting options for a whiter smile. And again, summertime is a great time to do that.
- Preventive Tools: Dr. Bui offers Fluoride rinse to use at night after brushing and flossing to prevent tooth decay and cavities.
